Aykanna is a husband and wife musical duo known for their soulful, percussion‐driven music and wisdom teachings, which they present for audiences across the globe. Through their concerts, retreats and workshops, Sukhdev and Akahdahmah Jackson share their passion for Kundalini yoga, sacred chant and healing. Aykanna is the result of decades of devotion, study and teaching. Their style is infused with a strong connection to the sacred chant traditions of India, and also to shamanic heritages. The music is positive, inspiring and reaches out beyond the boundaries of Kirtan and new age music genres and into the hearts of the mainstream.
Aykanna performs at Sat Nam Fest, Wanderlust, Hanuman Festival, Yoga Journal Conference and 3HO’s Summer Solstice Sadhana Celebration as well as internationally in Central America, Europe and throughout the US.
Their critically acclaimed albums include "Livelight", “Mother”, "Mantra Mala” and “Seeds of Love”.
Akahdahmah and Sukhdev live with their amazing 3-year old daughter, Sahej, in Topanga Canyon.
