About the Space
The UPstate retreat space is located in the Catskills and near the Hudson Valley, two hours north from Manhattan. Originally conceived as a horse barn and for family use, it organically grew into a home for innovative, creative, and healing experiences, where transformative information is shared. It is situated on 20 acres of native American forest land, with the Kaaterskill river running through it, featuring a magnificent 40’ waterfall and a 38’ deep swimming hole ~which provides for a most powerful and majestic setting.

Today, the facilities include full amenities in the common areas and improvements in both the indoor beds and outdoor camping options, with full kitchen and food provisions.

Food Accommodations
A Vegan and/or Ayurvedic style menu will be offered during the experiences at UPstate.

We usually enjoy a light breakfast consisting of a detoxifying drink and smoothie with a grain option, and a vegan/ayurvedic lunch and dinner, with teas and light snacks throughout the day.

Consider your visit an opportunity to cleanse and lighten your body, while keeping completely satisfied. Assist your system in opening inner space, disconnecting form ego, and detoxifying the pranic body -mental, emotional, and physical body.

Housing Accommodations
Accommodations include indoor beds and outdoor camping options, and a number of nearby beautiful B&Bs and hotels.

Indoor:
Stay in one of our 13 beds, in a semi private area inside the programming space. Think communal sleeping in individual beds, inside a beautifully renovated barn, where all classes and talks take place. The space is big, able to provide two separate areas for sleeping ~one upstairs by the kitchen, and one downstairs, which can be designated for men and women, or used as co-ed. Three or four of the beds can accommodate couples.

Beds are full? You can use one of the backup cots we have for additional guests that wish to stay inside the barn. Cots can be placed in either of the two designated areas, or in the hidden stage, both areas providing plenty of free space.

Outdoor:
Enjoy three wooden camping decks approx 10'x10’ along a trail accessing the area behind the barn, by a cliff that follows the Kaaterskill River; or enjoy camping anywhere in the currently 20 acre property ~in the woods, on the grass, by the river, or along flower and vegetable gardens. Bring your own camping equipment, or ask about limited tents availability for rent.

Hotels and B&B’s
There are a number of B&B’s and hotels in the area, ranging from 5 minutes to 20 minutes away, from modest to really fancy, and many in the nearby towns. The closest is The Kaaterskill farm about 5 minutes away, the nicest is the Diamond Mills Hotel in Saugerties about 20 minutes away, the most modest being Howard Johnson and Total Tennis at about 7-15 minutes away. See a rough list below and check for availability soon! As rooms rent fast during high season. The closest towns are Pallenville and Saugerties, but Woodstock and Catskill are also great options.
