Attachment behaviors are a debilitating reality in today’s culture. “First you create your habits and then your habits create you”. From being glued to our phones, to prescription painkillers, the message to our youth is that something outside of you can “fix” you. Ultimately, these behaviors can lead to a path of emotional distress and over-indulgence. Thankfully, tools like Kundalini Yoga help us access our own power and support us in cultivating new habits.

Habits are formed at a young age and many of them no longer serve us as adults. But that doesn’t mean that we are stuck with a bad habit. These patterns are regulated by the endocrine system and exercises such as chanting or holding an eye focus can support the renewal of the system. Continue (or begin) your path of healing these old wounds by giving yourself a new experience. No previous yoga experience is required.

I will also share with you some of the tools I take with me “off the mat” that support my own recovery from addiction.
